Land Management in the Eastern Sierra

The Fall Technical meeting will highlight the many challenges of land management in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Region.There will also be a session addressing historical and contemporary land management by Native Americans in the region, and several sessions related to land management in the Owens Valley on Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) owned lands.

The field tour will provide an exciting opportunity to view land management on LADWP lands, starting at the upper Owens River and traveling

downstream to view the Lower Owens River Restoration Project (LORP), and ending at the Owens Lake to view the dust mitigation measures.
